The iron ore price from India to China keeps continuous increase this month.
Currently the quality of 63.5% Indian powder ore price has reached U.S.$ 79-82 per dry ton (CIF), increased about 10% over the earlier times this month of U.S.$72-74 per dry ton. The quality of 62% Indian powder ore quotes at U.S.$76-77 per dry ton, while the quotation of Australian ore with the same quality is about U.S.$78 per dry ton.
A trader from Beijing pointed out that this week's business is not bad and iron ore price has impetus to incline due to an increase of sea freight.
Sea freight from Indian to China is about U.S.$17-22 per ton, the differences are large in accordance with the situation of ports'inventories.
Meanwhile, Indian steel department also suggest government to levy 15% export duties on Indian iron ore, which makes many China trader more worried.
